National Coordinator of the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP), Mallam Salisu Dahiru, is Guest Speaker at the 10th Environment Outreach Magazine Public Lecture/Awards Ceremony that holds on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 in Benin-City, Edo State.
Themed “Managing Land Degradation in Nigeria: The challenges, Actions and Remediation”, the Lecture will be chaired by Professor Lawrence Ezemonye, Vice Chancellor of Igbinedion University, Okada and National President of the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES).
Governors Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and Henry Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State are Special Guests of Honour among other distinguished invited personalities including Royal Fathers, CSOs, NGOs, environmental experts, academia, govt officials, students, organised private sector and the general public.
NEWMAP is a World Bank-assisted erosion control project under the Federal Ministry of Environment.
