As part of the activities line-up at the ongoing COP28 in UAE, Solution17 for Climate Action, in partnership with New York University Abu Dhabi, will launch the Book of Acts and Climate Web App to support Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and raise global awareness about environmental problems, and promote climate solutions and a greener world.
The Book of Acts, among other Climate Enterprises – Ecoventures by Green Marketplace, ClimaFest, EnergyEdu, GreenFoodie, and Green Social, were developed at the Artnovation Hub in Lagos State, Nigeria, between August and October 2023. The Innovation Hub was hosted by PremiumTrust Bank and the Lagos State Government.
The Book of Acts Enterprise will kick-off in UAE on December 2, 2023, with the launch of a book titled “The Book of Acts; In the Begining, The Planet” during the COP28 Art for Climate Change session, scheduled to be held at 𝐂𝐎𝐏28 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐚𝐲 3 at the 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 in the Green Zone – Greening Education Hub, starting at 11:00 am (GST) in Dubai.
The book, authored by Foluke Michael, CEO and Project Director of CYCDI-Solution, is a significant work poised to revolutionise climate education by actively engaging classrooms, greening communities, and inspiring action across generations. The goal is to spotlight and publish small or large achievements and implement sustainable projects through various platforms until we achieve the desired future. The book series will bring the world closer to a carbon-neutral future through Education for Sustainable Development and impactful action.
It highlights the importance of Education for Sustainable Development, youth engagement, and global cooperation. It welcomes people from different nations to take a climate pledge.
The Book of Acts series will continue till 2030, with a commitment to get the Global Goals back on track through transformative and actionable steps to create a sustainable future for the present and next generation.
The cover page, a captivating masterpiece by Creative Artist and LinkedIn Influencer Haoma Worgwu, sets the tone for the book’s core message. Worgwu’s painting intricately weaves symbols of environmental responsibility and sustainability, portraying the collective Solution17 power of humanity to safeguard our planet through intentional and sustainable actions.
In a symbolic unveiling during a live session at Florence – Centro Storico, Italy, the first copies of “The Book of Act” were revealed. The books, printed with precision and care by Amazon Italia Logistics S.r.l, were delivered by Amazon Italia, ensuring a seamless introduction to readers worldwide. The painting is one of the 17 masterpieces created by five Climate Artists for the COP28UAE Art for Climate Change.
BoA Enterprise will utilise powerful storytelling through Art, Music, Games, and Movies that will incorporate the problems, the effects, the solutions, and the actions we must take to drive awareness that can inspire individuals and communities to take impactful action to restore the planet.
