Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu made this known during a Christmas programme organised for patients at the Alimosho General Hospital in Lagos.

Sanwo-Olu was represented by Dr Olugbenga Oyekan, Director of Medical Services , Lagos State Health Service Commission, at the programme organised for patients.

He said: ”We are working towards a system that will rival international standards and ensure that everyone has access to quality health delivery irrespective of their status in our society.

”We must look beyond vour limitations and forge ahead in order to give the best in terms of the services we render to the people of Lagos.”

Sanwo-olu also commended the leadership of the hospital and members of staff for rendering selfless service in spite of the number of patients that visit the facility to seek care.

”Alimosho General Hospital is one of the best secondary health facilities we have in the state and it is also a flagship hospital, which comes close to a teaching hospital.

”I must commend you all for the  dedication and selfless work you are doing here, we are aware of the huge number of patients you attend to here.

”We want you to continue to , because we know the reward for hardwork is hardwork, so you should all imbibe the Christ-like spirit in this season and see our patients also like Christ,” he said.

Speaking earlier, Dr Ayodapo Soyinka, the Medical Director of the hospital, said the yearly programme was put together to celebrate Christmas with patients in the various wards.

Soyinka said that the hospital had made tremendous progress in the last one year, adding that it would continue to work towards ensuring patient satisfaction with the aim to ensure quality health care delivery.

“We are focusing on patient satisfaction and that is our priority. Beside this, we have made tremendous progress inspite of all the challenges.

Gifts were distributed to patients in the various wards to mark the Christmas celebration.
