In a short video clip released on Sunday, April 17, 2022, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Health Commissioner, Prof. Akin Abayomi, shed some light on efforts aimed at transforming the state’s medical infrastructure by renovating and upgrading existing facilities and building new ones.

Highlights include adding to the existing 330 Primary Health Care and 27 Secondary Health Care facilities, dedicating the right percentage of budgetary allocation to health in line with WHO and UNICEF dictates, embarking on the Brown Field (renovation) and Green Field (brand new) projects, reducing energy use in new hospitals by 50 percent and, under the SHIP initiative, connecting all hospitals digitally.
