The World Bank has approved a concessional loan of $100 million for Zambia, to improve its natural resource management, the bank said on Friday, May 17, 2019.
The bank said in Lusaka that the loan from the World Bank’s International Development Association arm would be used to finance a project supporting the sustainable use of natural resources in the southern African country.
“The project is aimed at reversing forest and land degradation and improving infrastructure to enhance the resilience of communities to climate shocks,” the World Bank said.
